How to Earn

What Is Earn

Earn puts an asset you hold to work. You deposit it into a vault, the vault invests it in a strategy, and the yield that strategy earns raises the value of your deposit.

The deposit mints the vault's shares, which you keep in your wallet. As the yield comes in, each share is worth more of the asset, so when you redeem them you get back what they are worth by then.

How to Earn

Five steps, from choosing a vault to redeeming your shares.

  1. 1

    Choose a vault

Open Earn and compare vaults by APY, Total Assets and risk. Select View Details on the one you want; its page holds the Mint and Redeem tabs.

  2. 2

    Get the deposit asset

A vault takes one asset, USDC in this example. Connect your wallet first. If you hold none, the button reads Get USDC to mint and opens a swap into it. See How to Swap.

  3. 3

    Enter an amount

On the Mint tab, enter how much USDC to mint with, or use 50% or Max. The vault quotes the shares you receive at its current exchange rate. Select Mint.

  4. 4

    Confirm in wallet

A deposit asks twice: approve exactly this USDC, then confirm the mint. Your shares then appear in My Earn, though the balance can take a moment to update.

  5. 5

    Redeem your shares

To withdraw, open the vault’s Redeem tab and enter the shares to return. Check the redemption fee and time, then select Redeem and confirm in your wallet. USDC arrives in the same transaction.

Shares, APY, wallet requests, and when you can redeem are answered in the FAQ.
